My name is Mary O'Donahue and I live in Killarney in Southern Ireland. This part of the country is famous as a truly beautiful part of the world, and although I say it myself, the Irish people have a reputation of being some of the friendliest that you'll find.

Killarney is famous for its lakes and it is part of the county of Kerry. With a selection of natural bays and peninsulas, Kerry’s fantastic coastline takes some beating.

Thousands of visitors each year drive or cycle around the delightful Ring of Kerry for the incomparable views. It is recommended that you travel in an anti-clockwise motion around the ring to avoid congestion in the more narrow parts of the trail.

Public transport in our part of the country is quite limited and I always advise our visitors to hire a car at Dublin Airport in order to fully appreciate our wonderful country.
